La modelo desvestida

La modelo que posa en la Quinta de Santiago para Gabriel Faba, busca refrescarse, a toda costa, en el calor de la tarde agosteña. El abanico que le regalara al pintor unos años antes, procedía -como ella- de la patricia y califal ciudad de Córdoba.

Desde el amor de Abd al-Rahman III por su princesa Zahra, a la que ofrendó una ciudad palatina con su nombre, (Madinat-al-Zahra); a las pasionales sesiones entre Julio Romero de Torres y sus chiquitas piconeras, gestando los cuadros más turbadores de la historia de la pintura española; no se había conocido un calor tan bochornoso entre una mujer y un hombre, que la penetra con su mirada.

La modelo casi desnuda de Faba, marca los límites y las distancias con la fusta que envaina en su sobaco. El abanico negro, (ilustrado por el tísico y sensual pintor de Córdoba), la desnuda más que la recata; incrustándole a una pareja de mugeres morenas, en la plaza más deseada y mejor guarnecida de su cuerpo.

THE UNDRESSED MODEL

The model who poses in the Fifth of Santiago for Gabriel Faba, are looking for cool at all costs, in the heat of one afternoon in the high agoust. The fan that she did give to the painter a few years before, came from - as her – from the patrician and mysterious andalusian city of Córdoba.
