Un teatro de sombras vivientes

El teatro de sombras de la Huerta del Retiro, se llama Rioan-ji-zivi. A diferencia de otros escenarios de sombras chinescas, que se desarrollan al amparo de la tiniebla nocturna, el de la Huerta sólo ofrece sesiones de tarde. La pantalla es una manta roja de lana, colgada por delante de la baranda y la enredadera de hiedra.

No tiene muñecos ni siluetas este teatrillo; a parte de la escena, sólo actúan en él los moscardones y los pájaros, cuando pasan volando por el otro lado. El asiento transparente del manipulador refleja un esqueleto colgante, que se mimetiza con el fondo.

Cuando cruza la pantalla la sombra de una paloma, un mirlo o una urraca, el público rompe en aplausos desde el interior de la Quinta de Santiago. Y aunque no haya relato en este teatrillo estático, el cruce de la vida por el escenario, provoca más entusiasmo que ninguna historia.

A LIVE SHADOWS THEATER  

The Orchard of the Withdrawal’ shadows theater is called Rioan-ji-zivi. Unlike other shadow stages, that represent under the dark of the late night, this one of the Orchard only offers afternoon sessions. His screen is a red blanket, hung in front of the ivy’s vine and the railing.

This altarpiece does not have puppets or silhouettes; except the decorate, only act on stage the birds and bumblebees, when they go flying by the other side. The transparent seat of the manipulator reflects a hunging skeleton, which mimics with the fund.

When the shade of a dove, a merle or a magpie, crosses the screen, the public breaks into applause from the interior of the Fifth of Santiago. Although there is no peripety in this static theater, the crossing of life causes more enthusiasm than any other story.
